Pegasus Link Constructors is a fully integrated joint venture made up of Fluor and Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. with over 17 years of experience working together. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team on the I-635 LBJ East project. The project is a $1.7 billion design-build construction project that will improve the capacity and operational efficiency of the portion of I-635 north and east of Dallas, from east of U.S. Highway 75 to I-30.
PLC is currently seeking candidates to fulfill a Superintendent (Highway Construction) Night Shift role.
Essential Job Functions
- Superintendent will coordinate and manage on-site activities, as well work with project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Foreman, and Field Personnel, to successfully execute designated scope of work; safely, efficiently, and with the required level of quality.
- Manage a team of tradesman and/or subcontractors, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation;
- Develop, document and communicate the work plan ;
- Conduct effective pre-task planning sessions and project site meetings;
- Supervise and develop the project team;
- Read construction plans and specifications and effectively communicate to the team.
- Effectively communicate with on-site inspectors
- Create, review and update three-week look ahead schedule
- Complete daily reports and document work completed using HCSS Heavy Job;
Requirements:
- A minimum of ten years’ related Heavy Civil Construction experience.
- Proven success supervising Highway dirt work operations with a strong knowledge of traffic control
- Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office and HCSS heavy Job
- Proficiency in TxDOT Standards Specifications and Drawings
- Ability to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Valid Texas Drivers License with Insurable driving record.
